Following the tragic incident at Grenfell Tower in London we have continued to work closely with the Local Fire and Rescue Services, Local Authorities and local residents within our tower blocks.
We have undertaken a number of inspections and have not identified Aluminium Composite Materials (ACM) installed to external cladding. However as a precautionary measure we have taken a number of samples and are undertaking tests to ensure the materials are safe and will take any necessary steps required as soon as we are aware of the findings .
Our communications plan has been implemented and we have continued to work with staff and customers proactively to ensure they remain safe.
We have visited all customers residing in our tower blocks to offer reassurance providing additional fire safety advice and remind them about what they should do in the event of a fire.
Additionally we have been working closely with our contractors to ensure they remain engaged and can support customers.
We continue to review all information emerging from Grenfell Tower and are assessing the potential of additional fire safety measures to form part of our overall approach to fire safety including building evacuation and the introduction of sprinklers.
The safety of our customers remains our utmost priority and we remain confident that the procedures we have in place will continue to keep residents safe.
