Affordable homes available in Ribble Valley
An affordable housing development near Clitheroe in Lancashire is proving popular, with more than half the homes now reserved after a successful open afternoon hosted by Onward last month.
The Littlemoor Park development on Littlemoor Road was completed last month and consists of eight 2- and 3-bedroom houses, including semi-detached, mid and end terraces, all available for shared ownership.
This phase follows the completion of four 2-bedroom bungalows on the same scheme earlier this year. All properties were built by award-winning construction firm Jones Homes.
Stephen Heverin, growth and regeneration director at Onward, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer affordable homes in Ribble Valley, an area which has become increasingly difficult for first-time buyers to get a foot on the property ladder. This is a chance for local people to become home owners and stay close to friends and family.”
Meanwhile, in the nearby village of Whalley, Onward is about to complete another affordable development of four 2-bedroom semi-detached properties offered for shared ownership. These form part of the Monk’s Cross development on Mitton Road.
Located between the Forest of Bowland and Pendle Hill, Whalley was voted by The Sunday Times as one of the top places to live in the country.
