Cheshire West & Chester
Enabling people to be their best
In Cheshire West and Chester, we have provided employment and training support for residents in the area through the Onward Employment and Training Fund.
Through the Onward Community Fund, we have gone beyond housing by granting over £20.2k to seven local projects across Merseyside since March last year. For further details about how you could get support, please email socialinvestment@onward.co.uk.
Providing homes our customers love
At Chapel Court we have installed new double-glazed windows in all four blocks and communal areas to make homes warmer, quieter and more comfortable for customers. New double-glazed windows have also been installed in Stanton Court’s communal areas.
Chapel Court’s communal front doors and intercoms have also been replaced to provide better security for those living here.
Construction has restarted at our Pavillion Park development in Helsby, through a new partnership with national housebuilder Countryside. Pavilion Park will provide 85 new homes for affordable rent, 100 homes for Shared Ownership and 30 homes for Rent to Buy. These modern homes will not only help local people put down roots more affordably, but they will also be more affordable to run. The foundations are laid for our first Shared Ownership homes that are on track to be released later this Spring.
Since April last year, we have made improvements to our existing homes across Merseyside and Cheshire West, including 316 new kitchens, 267 new bathrooms, 26 new roofs, 510 new doors and 218 new boilers. We have also installed new windows in 331 homes and improved the insulation of 105 homes.
Creating places people are proud of
We have worked with Cheshire West and Cheshire Council to improve the waste management at Blossom Place, expanding communal bin stores to reduce fly tipping.
