WorkWell
Are your health conditions impacting your ability to work? Through the WorkWell project, 1st Call’s experienced mentors will work closely with you to understand your specific needs, aspirations, and challenges, to develop a personalised action plan with support from local partners that will help you take positive steps forward.
There are plenty of benefits for participants involved in the project, including:
- A personal assessment to understand your needs and what support works best for you
- A goal-based plan that addresses any physical, mental and social needs you may need to help you thrive in work
- Referrals to both local and community-based work and health support services
- Advice on making workplace adjustments with your employer to support your needs
If you are an employer, we can also help you to reduce absences, retain employees, access funding and fill knowledge gaps on supporting people with health conditions.
Our WorkWell project is available for both employed and unemployed people living in Preston. You can get support through the project if you have been:
- unemployed for no more than six-months with a low-level health condition or a work capability assessment
- absent from work for no more than six-months due to a long-term health condition or struggling with the workplace due to health issues
