Changes to gas services in Greater Manchester and Cheshire East
In April, Onward Repairs took over from Fortem as the responsive repairs and maintenance provider for Onward Homes customers in Greater Manchester and Cheshire East, having provided the same services in Lancashire over the past six years.
We decided to bring this service in-house so that we could have greater control over the quality and reliability of repairs and maintenance in our neighbourhoods. We hope that you have already noticed some improvements in how we deliver your repairs service.
From November 1st, Onward Repairs will also take on the servicing and repairs of all gas systems in our homes across Greater Manchester and Cheshire East. Previously this service was provided by Liberty, whose contract will come to an end on 31st October.
To make sure that this changeover happens as smoothly as possible, we have appointed national contractor Sure Maintenance to support us with a small number of gas servicing appointments over the coming months, until the service has fully moved over to Onward Repairs
If you are going to receive a visit from Sure Maintenance, we will let you know in advance, so that you know which operatives will attend your home.
Remember that if you already have a gas service or repair booked, this will go ahead as scheduled and you don’t need to do contact us to rearrange the appointment.
