Help shape future housing in Hattersley
Plans for an exciting new development have been officially unveiled by Onward and Tameside Council today.
Proposals include 86 new build homes for rent and sale, and an extra care scheme with 90 apartments for older people. You can view the site plan here.
The £36m project will be developed by Onward in partnership with Tameside Council and Homes England, and they’re inviting residents to have their say and help shape future housing in Hattersley.
Residents can view the plans at drop-in events to be held at The Hub on Stockport Road in Hattersley on the following dates:
- Wednesday 6 March, 4pm – 6pm
- Thursday 7 March, 2pm – 4pm
Those attending will have the opportunity to meet the project team, and provide feedback on the plans to help shape the next exciting phase of Hattersley’s regeneration.
Sites for discussion include:
- The former central parade site on Hattersley Road East
- Land at Underwood Road / Hattersley Road East
- Land at Stockport road and Melandra Crescent
Bob Pleasance, project manager at Onward, said: “Your feedback is important to us and we’d like to encourage the public to come along and have their say.”
