We are supporting lots of projects in our communities to boost the digital skills of our customers.


 

Digital initiatives in your neighbourhood

Greater Manchester and Cheshire

  • Hattersley Digital Hub – a digital drop in with support and computer access available. Every Wednesday at the Hub, Hattersley Rd, Hyde, SK14 3EQ.
  • Digital Drop In – get support with money, budgeting, life skills and employment. Hope Central, Wilmslow Rd, Handforth, Wilmslow SK9 3ES. For more information:
  • Tech and Café Drop Ins – free digital skills support from Bury Council’s Digital Buddy volunteer network at informal one-to-one workshops
    • Bury Neighbourhub (Mill Gate), every Monday, 10am and 2pm
    • The Green Community Café at Clarence Park (Bury), every Monday, 1pm – 2pm
    • Bridge Community Church (Radcliffe), every Wednesday, 9.30am – 12pm
    • The Eagles Wings at United Reformed Church (Bury), every Thursday, 10am – 12pm
    • Top O’The Fields (Whitefield), every Thursday, 2pm – 3pm

Merseyside

  • Community Internet Café – get free access to computers and internet. Every Tuesday, 10am – 1pm at Halton Community Shop, Priory House, Runcorn, WA7 2FS.
  • Tea and Tech – a free drop in session for beginners to learn basic skills, share tips and experiences. No booking required.
    • Kirkby Library, every Monday, 10.15am – 11.15am
    • Stockbridge Library, every Monday, 2pm – 5pm
    • Prescot Library, every Monday, 3pm to 4pm
    • Halewood Library, every Thursday, 2.30pm – 3.30pm
    • Huyton Library, every Friday, 10am – 1pm
  • Knowsley Digital Buddies – free one-to-one support sessions to help you feel more confident using the internet and online services. For more information:

 


 

Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are free intensive and flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector specific skills and fast track to an interview with a local employer. These courses are fully funded and for adults aged 19 or over.

Designed with employers, participants will gain the in-demand skills to move into or progress in their chosen sector. Participants will be offered a guaranteed job interview upon completion.
